hi foxy,

sorry, i dont speak italian.


BUT i (well ... one of my users Occhiolino) have a problem with your mod. the user chose his name ][FHM][Jimboy and when he tries to enter the chat he gets the following message:

[13:43] -- *** Checking Ident
[13:43] -- *** Found your hostname
[13:43] Your username is invalid.
[13:43] Connect with your real username, in lowercase.
[13:43] If your mail address were foo@bar.com, your username would be foo.
[13:43] Error : Closing Link: __FHM__Jimboy by pelikaista.fi.quakenet.org (USER: Bad username)
[13:43] Disconnected from de.quakenet.org


so i search for an option to strip the username from special characters OR (preferred Occhiolino) to chose an irc name in a users profile. ok, i know how to add an additional field to the profile but which things do i have to change to get them on irc. and to use the username instead if the user doesnt specify a irc name. and there i need the first option again to prevent things like above so just stripping special characters is the really necessary thing Occhiolino

furthermore the field you can type your name in to change it is black and uses black fonts - nearly unreadable Occhiolino

 Mmmm, thank's for that notice, it's very important!
In next version of Foxy IRC Chat, you'll can found an ACP and UCP to select nick and alternative nick, and other params...
For your actual problem, i don't see where is the problem!

I've tried to connect to your server de.quakenet.org and change my nick to __FHM__Jimboy and it go!

I think that you must search into log too or send me a complete list of user setting about chat (just copy & paste javascript code that you can found on your board page), I'm sorry... but I need more info Prrrt!

another thingi: i use the smilies of the forum, but it displays them even in timestamps etc.

and what about updating? i just copied some files from www.pjirc.com into the pjirc folder (after the error above happened Occhiolino). its working but i just wanted to ask if there might be a problem.
